Thank you, Companer@s,
we take this opportunity to thank you for all your solidarity work, and to send you many hugs.
As far our organization is concerned, we are okay so far, physically and also in good spirits. Just extreming cautions in order to avoid detentions, because lots of detention orders have been 'fabricated' by the Oaxacan dictatorship supported now by the rightist federal government whose first political messages are about 'law and order'...
The federal police has been entering many schools (!) to apprehend teachers who participate in the movement, this to such an extent that in many schools parents take turns in security brigades so that the police won't dare repress the teachers. It is true, there is lots of fear because the crackdown on the movement has been tremendous (physically and in the mass media), and many very active people have to hide, but there is also the determination that this struggle goes on and will be reinforced.
Yesterday there was another demonstration of thousands, called upon by Oaxacan women. About 40 of the 140 prisoners taken to the state of Nayarit were released yesterday. We are very careful not to celebrate these results too much, because usually they are maneuvers to keep in prison the key persons and to demobilize protests. There will be more protest actions from now to december 22nd here in Oaxaca and in the country.
This commission and other companeros are still hiding, but we are okay.
And we know that we are not alone.
Take care of yourselves also, hugs
